Being raised in a Christian household, with a prea

Being raised in a Christian household, with a preacher for a father, what i witnessed, learned, and experienced taught me to despise organized religions of all kinds, but ESPECIALLY any that are fundamentalists in any way. With the alt (not) right so called “Christians” taking over this country and its media, i have been extra triggered and have had to work to calm my nervousness system so i don’t just stay in overdrive, which isn’t helpful to me or anyone. So i started looking for religious leaders who are demanding better of people and the government with the religious teachings they lead by and live by. One is @pastorbrandonaz Brandon who is posting really important messages about what it means to be a good human through the lens of Christian tradition and belief. Thought i would share with all of you, so that you too might feel a little light in the darkness in our world right now. i still will NEVER believe in any organized religion because the things that don’t add up, the hypocrisy, and all the rules are not made for someone like me. But for those whose beliefs (whatever they may be) help support them in being more kind, caring, thoughtful, and helpful human beings (vs. judgmental, hypocritical, violent, bullying, etc...) i am ALL for that! Whatever our beliefs, may the goodness and strength needed to get us through this horrible time, rise and lead the way. 🙏💚

As promised... posts to uplift and bring joy...

For those of you who don’t know, this is Little Buddy. You can scroll back through previous posts to find out more info on how this little bird and i became buddies.

He is an Acorn Woodpecker. He was pushed out of his colony as a little juvenile. He landed on me one day while being chased and attacked by other birds. He loves being hand fed, but he also is doing all the things he needs to do to survive wild, inlcuding eating insects, acorns, and storing all kinds of nuts, seeds, and acorns all over the property. It is 55 acres here. There are numerous cabins. i call them, “Acorn (and now all kinds of nuts and seeds in my cabin) Storage Units” because of the hundreds of Acorn Woodpeckers that live up on this mountain and seem to love using the cabins to store their food source.

Since being kicked out of his colony, he has since decided that humans are his colony and loves hanging out with, pestering, and bossing around any human that will let him.

And don’t worry, i have already done a ton of research to make sure Little Buddy is being given the best life possible, including encouraging all his “natural” behaviors. He is growing up and thriving, and living the best Little Buddy Life ever while also providing endless amounts of entertainment for his “hooman” (bird speak for “human”) colony. 😉🙏💚

Public Service Announcement:

From here on out, i will no longer post on any of the multitude of wars and violence being perpetuated in the US and around the world. i will no longer be posting about how religious fanaticism (of any kind) is hypocritical and destructive. i will no longer be posting about everything that is wrong in the world (because it is never-ending and only getting worse.) i also will not be COMMENTING on any of the above.

My heart and nervous system are depleted and sick beyond measure at what we have become, especially because of social media and internet surfers who think they know everything because they literally look for information to back up their beliefs (confirmation bias) and the algorithms happily send those reinforcements. And i am done with all the people with all their opinions about how no matter what i post about anything, there are the critics (for every action there is an equal and opposite criticism.)

From here on out and for the foreseeable future, i will only be posting about things that bring joy, curiosity, promote positivity, or things i am directly involved with.

If you have a criticism of that, feel free to keep scrolling, there are thousands if not millions, of other pages you can get what you want. If you post a negative comment on this post, you will be automatically blocked and deleted. If you decide you are upset with me and “unfriend” me, don’t worry, i am not in junior high, i will not get hurt that i am not in your “clique.” If you say, you used to “support” me, but no longer do, don’t worry, agreeing with someone, or clicking a thumbs up button isn’t actual support. You won’t be missed.

If my tongue in cheek, slightly sarcastic comments here are upsetting to you, you probably take yourself too seriously and are also not a good fit for this page.

If you are still sticking around, then glad you are here. Hope my page continues to be helpful in some way. i hope we can create more positivity and not feed into the “who is right and who is wrong” vibe that is literally in ALL “sides” of every issue.
