We have an opportunity – each and every one of us — to have our lives be a story of love in action. Our lives are book-ended – once by birth, once by death. We come in on an inhale, and we leave on an exhale. However long we have in between that inhale and that exhale, that’s a story we write. I cannot think of a better way to live my life than to look at putting love into action – in my daily life, in my community wherever that happens to be, and for this planet that we all call home, and for all the beings that we share it with.

There’s a saying; “Behave here as you’d do in heaven.” I believe this physical life is but a half blink of the eternal eyes of a spirit; school for the soul.
Gracias

Hi!
My name is Ben, Chair of Forest Fired – a newly established nonprofit dedicated to promoting sustainable forestry in California.
We’re producing a video on biochar and the Redwood Forest Foundation http://rffi.org from a tour we recently did and we’d like to mention Julia’s time in the tree.
Do we have permission to use this picture at https://juliabutterflyhill.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Julia-in-Luna-7-1288×724.jpg or another if preferred in our production?
Thanks.
Hello Ben,
My apologies for just now getting to your message. i have been quite injured and sick.
i am not sure if you are still wanting to use a photo, however, you have to get the rights from the photographer of the photo.
Thank you for your commitment to healthy forests.
Love,
julia
I am in a community of forest defenders tree-sitting to save one of the last intact old growth watersheds we have, called Fairy Creek, BC.
Sitting around the campfire one night, I was saying: “I have never seen better non-violence in a movement. It has gone beyond “non” -violence, everyone’s heart is full to the brim with Peace”.
We were puzzling over this, when someone said “I think the love is seeping up out of the ground from the trees.”
I would like to read your post above out at the next circle.
That is really beautiful Ben. i have been very sick and injured so i have not been keeping up with everything going on. i send my gratitude to all who are there offering their lives in service to the forests.
Love,
julia
Hello friends, I am a homeschooling mom of one 9 year old boy named Orion. We are gathering with a number of other children to read Legacy of Luna this summer. I have a more age appropriate version for younger kids and have chosen specific chapters to focus on throughout our time together Journaling , writing poetry and creating art . I read the book in my early twenties ( 20 plus years ago ) and I was deeply moved by the story. I do rabbit rescue and continue to find strength and stamina within the pages . I rarely look at the internet or do searches but I stumbled upon the post from Julia about being injured and sick . I am so concerned and sending my love Julia . Pleases let us know how you are and if there is anything we can do . Blessings and prayers beautiful soul .
Thanks For Sharing the blog. Really liked it.
