Thank you, Julia. You have been on my mind, on my mind, on my mind. I live in a small town in California called Nevada City. I wish for you ridership, vision, direction. At this time PG&E is exercising public domain over thousands of acres of trees including heritage trees in downtown. It’s these heritage trees that are Awakening and mobilizing our generation who has almost no experience in activism. Though we know much about what is happening we feel powerless. Our city government does not want this to happen but can not seem to win. What can we do? We need help in a big way. I keep hearing your name in my head. Can you direct us in anyway to exercise our power our commitment our understanding of the importance in preserving these redwood giants?

      Hello Zonia,

It requires mobilizing the community, doing peaceful direct action, as well as constant letters to the editors of the press and op-eds.

We had to do ALL these things and so much more to save Luna and the surrounding grove as well as to push for change around logging.

All the very best to you and the Trees.

      Love,

      julia

I was reading reddit, saw mention of you in Luna, thought you were pretty, read wiki entry about you, wanted to hear your voice, listened to maybe 50% of this discussion, and i want to share what i have recently learned over past few years about, self love, narcissistic personality disorder, empaths, and how people in the world seem to behave. I heard you mention you are empathetic, feeling connected and feeling on behalf of others. Also you mentioned struggle with inner critic and abuse from past. Lisa A Romano, the little shaman, Michelle Nieves, i have many links to these resources for information that really may help you find peace, clarity and understanding. I hope the information helps you on your healing journey. :).

Wrt the discussion of service, it was refreshing for my spirit to hear living examples of people embodying and living lives of service.

Idk everyone’s “resume” or service accomplishments, but i did read a little about you and respect that you genuinely are trying to live a life of service. Similar to a monk, nun, or priest (when they take vow to live a life of service to God).

“Much is expected from those to whom much has been given.”
“You cannot drink from an empty cup.”
“Do not walk above me or beneath me, walk beside me.”
“Do unto others as you wish them to do unto you.”
“There but for the grace if God go I.”
    “Garbage in, garbage out.”
“Read good writing to write good reading.”

There is timeless wisdom captured in these cliches, regardless of one’s religious belief.

No matter what is said about the heart or mind or body, you cannot act unless you have the energy to do so. Its very simple. The body and the brain requires energy to sustain itself and without getting too technical the bodymind complex will not give your consciousness a defined direction when its energy reserves are almost depleted. The human body has three main energy systems that load energy into two separate storage systems. When both of these are near exhausted, the bodymind complex will create what is called a forced stop. And you will be unable to find direction in life or have the energy to serve others, unless you are using other people as a source of energy (which will cause further complications and dependency). When you find yourself directionless or deflated its time to rest and restore your internal capacities and depending on how low your bio-energetic reservoirs are, that many take 5-6years at least. This is why living in community is so important as it gives you the space to be a part of something amazing without you necessarily needing to contribute. You can rest, revitalized yet still be an important member of the team. Because if you let your body renew and restore itself properly you will be a million times more effective had you tried with no resources at all. I would much rather climb into a ring with someone who has overtrained and is near exhausted, than fight a man to took the time to prepare himself for the fight. A Zen master will never allow you to move to the next level until you have enough energy to do so. Instead he will make you wait and do one hundred stupid things, until you are ready. That what my master did to me. Not everyone needs to lead, but everyone should learn how to follow behind at THEIR own pace….I have to say that I find Julia deeply inspirational, she is a beautiful gifted human being
