Yes… i went there…

Today’s post is dedicated to the meanies, the bitches, the assholes, the judgmental jerks.

Which means today’s post is dedicated to me.  And it is dedicated to you.

That’s right.  You too.

What?!?!? You might be freaking for just a minute.  But here’s the thing… it’s dedicated to this part of all of us that judges that part of ourselves that judges the crap out of everything and everyone else.

It’s so busy judging, that even at this moment you might be thinking all kinds of judgmental thoughts about me and this post and all the while cleverly disguising it as something else all together.

You are herby BUSTED!

If you let yourself drop into this and try it on for just one second, what you might just possibly find is a moment of peace… finally.

I’ve been really looking at my inner “meanie” for the last month or so.  I am staying at a place that has a lot, and I mean a lot, of beautiful bodies, in beautiful bathing suites parading by.  As I sit in my bikini noticing all the lists of things wrong with me—the stretch marks, spider veins, and cellulite, just to start off the list—and that’s just for starters, all I do is either judge them or judge me.  Over and over and over and over… Can anyone say, “UGH GIRL!!! PULLLEEEEEZZZEEE!!!!”

It’s annoying to read it, let alone be in my brain thinking all of it!

And to add more crazy onto clearly already crazy, I so often see how beautiful other people are—regardless of shape, height, coloring, etc…   But when it comes to myself, all I see is wrong, bad, wrong, bad, wrong.  And the reality is… that’s all I have seen for most of my life.

And this post isn’t just about shape, size, etc…  This post is about ALL the ways we are always either judging ourselves or someone or something else.  We are always playing the game of compare and contrast.  And every single time we play it… someone or something has to LOSE!  And THIS is why each and every one of us are big freakin’ meanies!  Because we do this crap all the time and make something or someone lose pretty much every single day of our lives.

We are mean, mean, mean!

And we need to quit pretending that we are not.  We need to get our heads out of our collective spiritual butts, and own our “you know what!”

So, in closing… this post is dedicated to the meanies, the assholes, the bitches, and the judgmental jerks.  This post is dedicated to me.  And it’s dedicated to you.  And the sooner we can own this part of ourselves, the more quickly we can become WAY more kind and compassionate than we currently are.  Do not fool yourself.  You too are a judgmental jerk.  And I am working on loving that part of you.  Just as I am working to learn how to love that part of me.  So that I can become a more truly loving, kind, and compassionate being who finds more good in people and things—instead of all the bad things I am so tuned to find.

So to the all of us—in all of us—I love you.
