“When we come up against resistance, it takes two things to resist: there’s not resistance if we’re not resisting. So resistance only exists in the space if they are resisting what we have to share and we are resisting their resistance to our sharing β that’s the only way resistance is there. So, my experience has taught me that the best way to move through resistance is by complete and total acceptance of the person β exactly how they are, exactly how they’re being, with their thoughts, they’re behaviors β everything. It does not mean to condone someone’s behavior. That’s a different conversation β whether it’s appropriate behavior or not appropriate behavior. But, if I want to invite someone to my view, there has to be connection there. And if I’m not connected, then how can I expect the other person to be connected?”
