“We often live our lives backwards. We focus on “the doing” before the being. We tend to focus on, “what am I supposed to do?, or “what should I do? “ This is why I go first to the being then to the doing. And this is why I ask, “what’s your tree?”: If you uncover and clarify your symbolic tree – what your core purpose of being is – then you know your core purpose of being, and it never changes. When you know your core purpose, it doesn’t mean that you’re stuck in a jail, it just means you are so authentically you it’s just not going to change — it is the essence of who you are. Everything else changes – that’s an essential part of life. But the essence, the seed of who we are is still there, even when we become a tree. With a tree, the essence, the seed, is still there, we just don’t recognize it as the tree. The tree is the way we are expressing our core being.”
